1. What this page covers
This page sets out the commercial relationships, conflicts of interest and limitations that apply to everything we publish. It is written so that a reader can judge our research knowing what sits behind it. It applies to the public site, the paid membership, the research tools, the podcast and the YouTube channel.
2. Education only, not financial advice
Everything we publish is educational and reflects our own research. It is not financial, investment, legal or tax advice, not a personal recommendation, and not a solicitation to buy or sell any asset. We are not licensed financial advisers and we do not provide advisory services.
We do not know your circumstances, your risk tolerance or your objectives, and nothing we publish is tailored to them. Digital assets are volatile and you can lose the entire value of an investment. Always do your own research, and take professional advice where appropriate, before making any financial decision.
3. Analyst positions and conflicts of interest
Doc and Oz maintain their own private portfolios and hold positions in digital assets, including assets discussed in our research. Those positions change over time, and they buy and sell at their own discretion without prior notice.
Nothing published on this site should be read as a statement of current holdings, and no position, past or present, is a recommendation. We do not publish our personal trades, our portfolio composition or our own entry and exit points. Market analysis and levels published in our research are research outputs, not disclosures of what we personally hold or trade. Readers should assume that at any given time we may hold, or may not hold, any asset we write about.
4. No paid coverage
We have never taken payment from a project, a token issuer, a protocol or a foundation in exchange for coverage, research, a rating, a mention or a placement. No project has ever paid to appear in our research, and we have never acted as paid promoters.
We do not accept payment to influence what we cover, how we cover it, or the conclusions we reach. If that ever changes, it would be disclosed clearly and prominently at the point of publication, not buried on this page.
5. Podcast and video guests
Guests appear on the Crypto Unplugged podcast and YouTube channel by invitation. No guest has ever paid to appear, and we have never paid a guest to appear.
A guest appearing on our platform is not an endorsement of that guest, their company, their product or their views, and it is not an endorsement of us by them. Guests speak for themselves. Their views are their own and we do not verify or vouch for claims they make on air.
6. Affiliate links and commercial relationships
We do not currently use affiliate links, referral links or revenue-sharing arrangements anywhere on this site or on our channels. If that changes, this page will be updated before any such link goes live, and affected links will be identified.
Our revenue comes from paid memberships and from the Cycle Intelligence course. That is the whole of it.
7. Our research tools
The tools we build are decision support, not signals. They describe conditions; they do not tell you what to do, and none of them issues a buy or sell instruction.
Every tool has limits, and we publish them alongside what the tool does. Our methodology page sets out, for each tool, what it measures, what it puts on screen, and what it will not do, including where a tool is structurally weak or resting on a small historical sample.
Where a tool displays a historical statistic, that statistic describes what has happened in the past over a limited sample. It is not a probability, not a forecast, and not a guarantee of anything in future.
8. Third-party data
Our tools depend on market and on-chain data supplied by third parties. We do not control those sources and we cannot guarantee that the data they supply is complete, accurate or continuously available.
Where a data source is unavailable or a reading cannot be produced, our tools are built to disclose the gap rather than fill it with an assumption. Even so, an error or an outage upstream can affect what a tool shows, and readings should be treated accordingly.
9. Use of AI
We use AI as a working tool for drafting, editing, structuring and checking, and in building parts of our research tooling. It does not decide anything. Every claim it drafts is checked against what we have built and what we can evidence, and much of what it produces is corrected or discarded before it reaches you. The analysis, the judgement and the conclusions are ours, and nothing reaches this site without an analyst having produced the underlying work and approved the words.
We do not use AI to manufacture volume, and we do not use synthetic personas, AI-generated presenters or automated accounts.
Our editorial policy sets out how in full.
10. Forward-looking statements
Our research contains views about what may happen in markets. These are opinions formed from evidence available at the time of writing, not predictions and not statements of fact.
Past performance is not a guide to future results. Market conditions change, historical patterns break, and any framework built on history can fail when conditions move outside what that history contains.
11. Corrections
When we find an error in something we have published, we correct it. Our current practice is to update the page itself so that what is live is accurate, rather than leaving an inaccurate version in place.
Our legal and policy pages carry a "Last updated" date so you can see when they last changed. If you believe something we have published is wrong, tell us at contact@themarketsunplugged.com and we will look at it.
12. Third-party links
Our site and our channels link to third-party websites, tools and services. Those links are provided for convenience and are not endorsements. We do not control third-party content and we are not responsible for it, for its accuracy, or for how those third parties handle your data.
13. Changes to this page
We may update this page as our business changes. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed. Material changes to our commercial relationships will be reflected here.
